Hello, my name is Fatou J, and I am an experienced home carer with a passion for assisting others in leading independent lives. As a female carer with extensive experience in various care types including live-in, hourly, and overnight care, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals with different needs and conditions.
Throughout my career, I have worked with clients who have Mild Cognitive Impairment, are bedbound, suffer from Parkinson's Disease, as well as those battling anxiety and depression. I am well-versed in providing compassionate care and handling the unique challenges that each condition presents.
When it comes to essential tasks such as bathing, toileting, assistance with dressing, catheter care, and companionship, I am skilled and dedicated. I understand the importance of maintaining a positive and engaging environment for those in my care. Outside of work, I enjoy walking, dancing, cooking and baking, decorating, and gardening. These hobbies bring me joy and help me maintain a happy and balanced personal life.
Although I do not drive and do not own a car, I am committed to finding alternative means of transportation for myself and my clients. I am more than willing to use public transportation or any other preferred method to ensure that my clients can access the care and support they need. Additionally, I have a preference for fish and birds as pets, as their presence can bring joy and companionship to those under my care.
As a caregiver, I strive to create a warm and friendly environment for my clients. I am known for being caring, friendly, and helpful. I believe in building strong relationships with my clients, treating them with the utmost respect and dignity, and empowering them to maintain their independence. Seeing the positive impact I can have on the lives of others is what truly motivates me to continue my work as a home carer.

My dear friend was in need for a live in carer , she had advanced Parkinsons disease , Fatou was sent to us at the end of October by the company she worked for , sadly my friend passed away on 2nd of January this year , the 2 months Fatou cared for her were amazing , she is the most caring person I have ever met , so professional with every aspect of the job , she showed so much respect for her client & I worked along side her ( I used to be a carer) whenever I could , I would recommend this lady 100% , what a hard working lady she is .
